Overlooking the Ionian and Adriatic seas, in the heart of the Mediterranean, this area is included in an imaginary triangle that goes from the province of Taranto , to Ostuni and down to the tip of the region to Santa Maria di Leuca. In this Micro region you can find golden sands and crystal clear water attracting tourist from all over the world, Thanks to the warm temperature during all the year , Salento is an ideal destination not only in the summer mounts. The territory of this region is plain and intensively cultivated , it’s divided into small plots of land by characteristic dry stone walls built by the typical limestone of the place (pietra leccese ),Rows of ancient olive trees, between ancient fortified “Masserie” and small white villages that’s our land . Salento however, is not only sea and beautiful rural landscapes. Who comes here it’s often involved in one of the houndred villages party ,where it’s visible a very distinctive folklore from the rest of Puglia such as the famous sword dance, a ritual that is repeated unchanged for centuries . In Salento you will also notice a substantial differences with the rest of Puglia also regarding the architecture , here is visible in the Baroque palaces built between the '500 and '700
Even the dialect is unique, here it’ s also possible to meet a small communities where people speak a greek dialect, result of the migration from neighboring Greece over the centuries of the Middle Ages.

| Il Salento è coltivato per buona parte del suo territorio, e la vegetazione è per lo più costituita da distese di ulivi secolari, dai tronchi contorti. I terreni sono suddivisi in piccoli appezzamenti, separati dai tipici muretti a secco. Nelle campagne troviamo costruzione di pietra i tipici furnieddrhi o pajare. Le masserie fortificate risalenti al XVI, XVII e XVIII secolo punteggiano la campagna salentina. I paesi, poco popolosi, sono caratterizzati dal bianco delle costruzioni che li rende abbagliantii nelle giornate di sole.
